Following completion of my Law Degree and having worked for a large commercial law firm, I began life at HG as a paralegal within the Landlord and Tenant department. In this role I was actively encouraged from day one to take part in all aspects of the firm's business ranging from marketing, planning client events, website re-design to assisting in the general development of the HG brand.

I chose HG because I was attracted to its reputation as an investor in its people. I wanted a firm whose drive and ambition matched my own. The firm takes a great deal of pride and responsibility in developing each of its team members. At HG you are not made to feel just another faceless number in an impersonal organisation, but rather a valued member of the team whose opinion is both respected and considered. The firm endeavours to take advantage of contributions from all employees' regardless of your level of experience or job title. There is no such thing as a bad idea, and all ideas are welcome.

HG has certainly lived up to my expectations. The firm has actively supported me in my decision to commence the Legal Practice Course ('LPC') part-time and afforded me great flexibility throughout my study of the LPC. Furthermore, HG continues to support my professional development, and in January of this year the firm granted me a training contract with a view to my eventual qualification as a Solicitor.

I am currently working within my Litigation and Dispute Resolution seat, and I am thoroughly enjoying my experience of the firm from a different perspective - that of a trainee solicitor.  So far, I have been thoroughly impressed with both the level of encouragement and support I have been given.  My case load has been both varied and I am enjoying the level of both trust and responsibility that HG strives to give each trainee.
