£284,600 - £354,300. The level of compensation awarded will depend upon the amount of pain in which the injured person has been left in, if their senses and ability to communicate have been affected, any physiological impact, issues with respiratory function, if injury includes brain damage and life expectancy.

Paraplegia

£192,000 - £249,300. The level of compensation awarded will depend upon the amount of pain in which the injured person has been left in, how much independence has been lost, physiological impact, loss of sexual function, age and life expectancy.

Shorter durations

£43,000.  Cases, where there is an unrelated death within a short period of time from the accident, will be awarded a lower sum.
